The Association For Professional Appliance Testing (BAPAT) is an association of UK based organisations involved with the In-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment.
The BAPAT aims to support those Professional Appliance Testing businesses ;dedicating to delivering their customers the highest standards of technical and professional care.
They will also be promoting and educating Professional Appliance Testing safety standards to the business and residential community through guidelines of best practice.
Finally the new association will lobby Government and Local Authorities on the adoption of best practice guidelines on the In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment including the creation and adoption of a Professional National Standard of operation for all businesses involved in Professional Appliance Testing.

For years Intersafe have been trying to educate organisations about standards in the Appliance Testing Industry. Not all PAT Testing companies are the same and we are delighted that the BAPAT will be helping us promote the higher standards the industry desperately needs.”
