New recruit for Fareham company
Craig Yellott is the latest recruit to join rapidly-expanding Fareham company, Intersafe. The electrical testing specialist has a growing team of highly qualified engineers and Craig (33) has been appointed as the company’s NICEIC Qualified Supervisor.
The Southampton-based engineer started his career at 17, when he was trained by the Royal Navy as an Electrical Mechanical Engineer. On leaving the Navy five years later, Craig decided to go back to school and qualify as an electrician. He said: "Working in the Navy gave me a great grounding and meant my experience was extremely diverse. I decided that the area which interested me most was electrical engineering, so that’s why I chose to go to Eastleigh College."
After achieving his qualifications, Craig went to work at a number of organisations, including schools, colleges and hospitals, as well as the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst. A highly qualified and experienced electrical engineer, he was offered the post of NICEIC Qualified Supervisor/Qualifying Manager at Intersafe this month. NICEIC is the electrical contracting industry’s independent voluntary body for electrical electrical installations throughout the UK.
Craig added: "I’m looking forward to a long career with Intersafe. I particularly like periodic inspection testing that the company does, there is so much variety and every day is different. There are lots of accounts to work on and the future looks extremely bright." Intersafe’s managing director, Adrian Pendle said: "I am delighted to welcome Craig to the team, he has brought excellent experience and knowledge to the company. Already, his reports and communication with our customers has been exceptional. Part of his remit will be to mentor three other members of staff which means that our customers will see the benefit as well. Being NICEIC certified is very important to Intersafe – it means that our customers can be confident that our services are the best in the industry."
