With operations in 46 countries and over 200 production sites, Monier is the leading worldwide supplier of pitched roofing materials. It is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for its stakeholders and conducting its worldwide businesses in a safe manner. Earlier this year its Crawley site, which comprises offices, workshops and labs, was due for PAT testing.
Oxford Brookes - Working Together
Oxford Brookes University is an international university with a local focus. It has been rated best new university in The Times Good University Guide for more years than any other new UK university. It has a student population of around 18,000 and employs over 2,500 staff. Intersafe has been working with Oxford Brookes for nearly eight years. It is employed to carry out Periodic Testing of circuits within buildings - checking the lighting and power are safe for users and occupants.
Wolfson Institute for Biomedical Research: Working in a hazardous environment
Intersafe successfully tendered against three other companies to carry out Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) for the Wolfson Institute for Biomedical Research. This involved testing 4,500 items in an academic research facility, containing hazardous substances such as viruses, bacteria, chemicals and radioactivity. Additionally, the laboratories contain very expensive equipment.
Cineworld Case Study: Getting the big picture
Cineworld Plc was formed 12 years ago, in 1996 and built an excellent reputation on 37 multiplex cinemas. Two and a half years ago, Cineworld was bought out by Blackstone, who also bought up UGC. Joining forces with Blackstone has made Cineworld one of the UK's largest cinema exhibitors and the second largest in Europe, with a market share of 20%.
